Concept your kitchen (CYK Hospitalities) got a wonderful opportunity to talk with Mrs. @Suyasha Gupta, it was an informative and interesting conversation with her. We got to know-how education in hospitality college is coping up with the Covid-19 pandemic.
She told us that the educational institution is digitalizing every detail to help the students to give the best information possible for their effective development and successful completion of the course. Procedure and methods have changed, practical sessions are managed through live demonstrations and students are privileged to clarify any query in between the session.
College is preparing powerpoint presentations before the classes for better understanding and help them to connect with the curriculum. She told us that teachers around India prepared videos for student reference and various links for learning. These links are available on the national council’s website (www.nchm.nic.in) for easy access, anytime students can utilize it.
Evaluations and exams are done through viva, multiple-choice questions, and theory exams. Students upload the answer sheets or assignments or use the postal service to send the material to the college for corrections and marking. Institute is trying every possible thing so that there is no gap year for the students because of the pandemic.
Ma’am told us about the concept of “zero year”, wherein the particular year of the curriculum is considered null and void. But it is only effective when zero year is imposed worldwide otherwise, students will suffer in the external environment if it is imposed in a particular region.
